| This page features our hand batiked organic cotton bandanas. Batik is the ancient process of creating designs on fabric with wax and dyes. We perform this multi-step process of dyeing, drying and waxing steps, turning each piece from its original cream color into an original work of art. We strive to make this process as eco-friendly as possible by using low impact fiber reactive dyes, organic cotton, and soy wax instead of paraffin wax (which is a petroleum based product). By using organic cotton we can limit the ill effects of exposure to hundreds of pesticides and insecticides used in conventional cotton growing practices on you, four legged friends, and the environment.
